Red Raketa Studio and Projet ONY : a creative journey

Hey lemur fans !

We’ve got a story to tell that’s as exciting as a boss battle and as inspiring as an epic quest. Our studio is proud to have been part of the first promotion of the Booster ONY, an incredible program initiated by none other than the artist Orelsan and his equally brilliant wife, Ahélya. Together, they launched Projet ONY to support and promote the cultural and creative industries, including music, cinema, animation, and of course, video games !

The Magic of Booster ONY

The Booster ONY program is like finding a rare power-up in the game of life. It provides training, mentoring, and a grant to one standout project in each creative category. And guess what ? Red Raketa Studio was one of the lucky ones to be selected for this awesome program. This opportunity gave us the boost we needed to dive headfirst into developing our first game, Kalanoro.

Leveling up with Booster ONY

Thanks to Booster ONY, we had the incredible opportunity to work full-time for several months on a vertical slice of Kalanoro. This initial version allowed us to refine our vision, develop key gameplay mechanics, and create a compelling storyline that we can't wait for you to experience. But the benefits didn’t stop there !

Industry connections and global adventures

Booster ONY opened doors to invaluable industry connections and experiences. We got to meet and exchange ideas with some brightest minds in the video game world. From brainstorming sessions to deep-dive discussions, we soaked up knowledge like a sponge.

And let's not forget the travel ! Booster ONY made it possible for us to pitch Kalanoro at international events like Paris Games Week and Africa Games Week. These events were not just a chance to showcase our game but also to learn, grow, and be inspired by the global gaming community.

A journey to remember

Being part of Projet ONY and the Booster ONY program was a transformative experience for Red Raketa Studio. It allowed us to hone our craft, build a network of industry professionals, and gain the confidence to take "Kalanoro" to the next level. This journey laid the foundation for our subsequent partnerships with New Tales and Boiler Interactive, and we’re beyond excited for what the future holds.
